🌌 My First Northern Light Experience

Ever since I started thinking about studying abroad, I strategically chose Nordic countries β€” not just for education, but for a very scientific reason: I wanted to see the Northern Lights! πŸ’šβœ¨

But fate had jokes to tell. In my first year, there was a massive aurora visible all across Europe… at 2 A.M. πŸ•‘
Guess who slept through it? 😴 Yup, me.

So I installed My Aurora Forecast & Alerts β€” hoping to redeem myself. Most of the alerts? False alarms. Until one night last month… I actually got the real notification.
And what did I do? I dismissed it. πŸ™ƒ Another missed aurora. Another β€œme problem.”

This time though, I was ready. ⚑ As soon as the alert popped up, I grabbed my clothes and ran. One of the best viewing spots is the beach near Linnahall β€” the same place I usually go swimming πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ.

The forest was way darker than it looks in the photo β€” I could barely see the road. πŸŒ²πŸ•―οΈ

But once I reached the beach… there it was. The faint green light shimmering above the sea. πŸŒŠπŸ’š No streetlights. No noise. Just magic.

I even tried moving to the platform in front of Linnahall β€” big mistake. More city lights, less aurora, and a nearby restaurant blasting music that could kill any sense of cosmic wonder. 🎢🚫
