✈️ Fly to Brandenburg
It’s finally time for my Erasmus trip to Brandenburg! A small journey through four cities — Tallinn, Riga, Berlin, and finally Brandenburg.
🇪🇪 Tallinn Airport
Waiting at Tallinn Airport is surprisingly fun! 🎹 There’s a piano you can play, two table tennis tables, and even a free gym inside the airport.
And a fun fact — smoking rooms do exist in some European airports! Meaning yes, you can actually bring your lighter on board. 🔥

When the plane took off, I finally saw the sunlight above the clouds — something rare after weeks of grey skies in Tallinn. ☁️✨
The clouds looked like giant marshmallows. I always wonder how pilots see anything through them…

🇱🇻 Riga Airport
What shocked me most in Riga Airport? A giant bear display showing what items are illegal to bring into Europe. 🧸🚫

You can buy mini 50ml whisky bottles and cigarettes right at the duty-free shop — classic European travel essentials. 🥃🚬

I had a 3-hour layover here. Because of new entry rules for non-EU residents, I decided to stay in the airport. Luckily, Riga Airport has comfortable seats with charging ports (Type-C and Type-A) and a great view. 🔌✨

I also spotted some stylish airplanes on the runway.

Even more exciting — AirBaltic offers free Starlink Wi-Fi! 🚀 The connection is fast enough for video calls, which feels futuristic at 30,000 feet.

During the safety video, I even saw VR headsets mentioned — not allowed during takeoff, but still cool to see aviation adapting to new tech. 🥽✈️

🇩🇪 Berlin Airport
My first impression of Berlin Airport? Honestly… big but a bit dirty 😅.
I couldn’t even find a “Welcome to Berlin” sign — kind of disappointing for such a famous city.

The public transport system here is confusing — multiple companies, multiple apps, and two types of ticketing systems. 🤯 Even worse, some apps don’t fully support English, making it frustrating for tourists.

And yes, the ticket machines are literally running on unactivated Windows systems. 💀💻

🏡 Arrived at Brandenburg
After almost 2 hours on the train, I finally arrived in Brandenburg — tired and starving. It was 11 p.m. on a Sunday, so most restaurants were closed. Luckily, I found a place called Palace Pizza — a kebab pizza for €10 saved my night. 🍕❤️

Brandenburg isn’t actually that small — its market size feels bigger than Tallinn, and surprisingly, everyday items in the cheapest level are cheaper too.
Also, the floors are starting from zero.
💶 I’ll share more about the city in my next post!
