🚶‍♂️ Brandenburg Walk Tour

Brandenburg is a quiet, conservative city about 70 km from Berlin. Compared to Berlin’s fast-paced, international vibe, locals here live closer to nature and prefer a slower rhythm of life. However, tourism isn’t a major focus — most people here don’t speak English, which makes the city feel more authentically local.

🏨 Hotel

There aren’t many hotels in the city. The one I stayed in is just across the street from the university campus. It offers a student discount — €55 per night, including breakfast. 🥐☕

🎓 Campus

The Technische Hochschule Brandenburg (THB) campus is larger than Tallinn University’s.

I also found the English translation on the toilet sign quite amusing — somehow polite and impolite at the same time. 😅

Here’s the meal from the school canteen — €6.5, cash only. 💶
The food is decent, very typical of German campus meals.

🏰 Old Town

Brandenburg has two historical centers:

• The Old Town, built around the 15th century
• The New Town, from the 17th century

The city wall has long been torn down, leaving only the gate tower standing as a reminder of the past.

The Old Town is full of beautiful brick architecture, giving the whole area a warm, timeless feel.

🌉 New Town

Cross the lake and you’ll find yourself in the New Town — more modern, yet still peaceful and charming.

The lake view is absolutely stunning — it feels like stepping into a painting. 🎨🌅

🍔 Food & Drinks

In the evening, we went to the Heartbeat Bar for burgers. It was my first time seeing schnitzel — a fried pork cutlet that’s super crispy and delicious.

Even the beer bottles here are interesting — they have special flip-top caps. 🍺 The content on the beer bottle, money can not buy happiness, so drink.

Later, I dropped by Rewe and Rossmann to grab some supplements, cola beer, and the famous German-colored Fanta. 🇩🇪🥤, Surprisingly, the payment supports Alipay and wechat pay.
