Free Gas on Prangli Island

Prangli Island is a small island in the north of Tallinn. To go there, I need to take bus to Leppneme harbour from Viimsi Keskus. Leppneme harbour is a very small harbour, that even the “market” on the map is a small self served kiosk.

This is a small island of a population of 70 people. It seems like a nice summer resort, there are many airbnbs.

The island is famous of its natural gas. It was discovered in 1920. However, during soviet time, they explored that the amount was too small, only able to put on the small flame for cooking.

There are many mushrooms on the island, while they are mostly poisonous.

There is also an airplane ruin, but we did not go due to the short time. We then went to the graveyard, with a nice sea view.
