The Finnish Game Museum
Set foot to Tampere! After I went to Estonian Game Library, I realized that there is a game library in Finland. However, most of the museums in Finland are settled in Tampere.
It is quite easy to book a ticket on VR. The ticket price floats from 15~20 from Helsinki to Tampere. Normally the bus tickets are cheaper, but the bus tickets usually charge service fee. I got the last ticket to Tampere, at least the website shows so. However, the train was not as crowded as I expected.

The first impression of Tampere. Not a big city, I can see the edge of the city from the train station.

It is about to be hocky season. The sculptures are wearing the team clothes.

The Tampere Cathetral, well it is famous for Hugo Simberg’s The garden of death. I especially like the window art. Looks a lot like animation.

I got lucky. On Fridays 15:00 - 18:00. The Vapriikki Museum center is free of charge. The game musuem is one of the free entries.

The museum basicaly shows the games that were made in Finland. Like city skylines, it was made in Tampere.

Also shows the game life through time.

Not only digital games, but also many board games.

And ancient ones, like this Chesmac, you can play chess on

More ancinet, like Bagatelle

Out side of Vapriikki Museum center, check this, jolla’s office is also in the building.

The other day, I went to Pyynikki to see the city panorama. However, the trees are too tall, can not see the city unless you go up on the tower.

On my way back, I went to eat Pho. Before I go abroad. People suggest me that if I miss some Chinese food and budget tight, pho is a good choice. It is not wrong. this meal is 12.5 EUR.
