Week 19

This week follows my thesis submission and the completion of my pre-defense.

Technical Trials

I tested NoMachine as a replacement for RustDesk, which has significant memory leak issues on Linux. However, NoMachine proved unreliable due to frequent glitches and crashes, though it does offer the advantage of offline functionality.

On the AI front, I experimented with various Vision Language Models and ran Gemma locally.

Media & Entertainment

Film: 给阿嬷的情书

Series: The Boys (S5E7), Good Omens (Series Finale)

Career Progress

I applied to several companies this week but received mostly rejections. I am maintaining a positive outlook for the coming week.
